The Finance division has a vacant position for an Assistant Accountant. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for daily document processing, financial administration and communication, financial transactions, reporting, budget and expenditure control and compliance.
The Assistant Accountant supports the financial operations of the organisation by ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, reconciliation of accounts and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and qualifications:
• National diploma/ degree (financial)
• South African citizen
Knowledge, skills and experience:
• 8 years’ general accounting experience
• Computer literacy: Great Plains, MS Excel, MS Word
• Communication skills
• Aptitude for numbers
• Able to work to strict deadlines
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparation and processing of financial transactions
• Verification and reviewing of financial documentation
• Reporting and reconciliations (Including VAT)
• Accounting finalisation and audit preparation
• Financial database and master files
• Compliance, control and support
