The Monitoring and Evaluation in Public Sector short course from Enterprises University of Pretoria (Enterprises UP) proved to be popular, as delegates from around the continent gathered for the short course from 19 – 21 February 2020.
Ideally suited for public officials, the short course provides delegates with requisite skills to effectively execute monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes that can assist in assessing performance and identifying contributing factors to public service delivery.
Presented by the School of Pubic Management and Administration, University of Pretoria (UP), the school takes pride in positioning itself as the leading school of public management and administration in Africa, through continued service delivery excellence and appointment of experts in the respective field.
Furthermore to ensuring Enterprises UP’s focused optimization efforts in the local and African market, delegates from South Africa, Botswana and Lesotho gathered for the three-day training, facilitated by independent contractor, Ms. Lebogang Molotsi. Integrated teaching methods such as group discussions and presentations were utilised to cover course content during the period, contributing to solid and professional relationships developing amongst delegates, as they all depart to their respective countries.
Reflecting on their experiences, nominated group leaders, Ofentse Sebego (Botswana), Mamolikaliko Molefe (Lesotho) and Melezwa Makapela (South Africa) showed sincere gratitude to their government, organisations and Enterprises UP for the opportunity presented to them, to upskill and develop themselves. An overall positive response from delegates as many plan to use the skills attained in their careers.
